Ponnie Piggott-Sampson

Ponnie Piggott-Sampson serves as President of the West Virginia PTA Board of Managers.  She also serves as the Western and Southern regional directors and the office coordinator.  She is available to all units to answer any questions and find the help that they need.  She has also held her previous position as the 2nd Vice President of Membership Chair. She is also the treasurer of Wood County Council PTA. She became involved in PTA approximately 16 years ago after serving on the AFL-CIO Head Start Parent Board to ensure that all children had a voice within the school system.

Ponnie has worked with the Wood County Board of Education since 2015, holding many service certifications. She also serves as the crossing guard for Mineral Wells Elementary. Is an ordained minister and is also self-employed.  Ponnie also sits on the Wood County Recreation Board, the West Virginia Interstate Fair Board, and is the current secretary for the WVSSPA Union.

Ponnie has been married to Frank Sampson since October 3, 1998, and is the mother of 6 amazing children and 2 bonus children along with 10 grandkids and one great grandchild.  Ponnie is looking forward to helping make WV PTA grow within her next year as President and looks forward to attending the 2027 Leg Con.
