Kimberlee McCloud

Kimberlee is from Clarksburg, WV.  She is a mom of two beautiful girls and has been married for 15 years.  She currently works as a Teachers’ Aide.  She fell in love with the PTA platform to help promote her school and the community.  “I joined the PTA to simply get involved in my children’s school. To connect with other parents because I was a stay-at-home mom at the time. I fell in love with the platform to help promote our school and community. Also, the school activities were a blast to be a part of. I love being a part of the PTA on both local and state level.”

Her favorite memory from being a part of the PTA is…. “Last year in February our schools PTA wanted to have an event called “Spreading the Love.” It was a top-secret project between the PTA and the students at our school. I had the opportunity to come into the school for two days and worked with the students to have them write a few words on paper hearts or banners about how much they loved their teacher or staff member. The student got really involved. Each one did more than one heart and some even asked for a heart for parents. Thought and love went into each one of those hearts. Then after school on Friday the PTA banned together decorating each teacher’s doors or office desks with those kind words. Hearts filled the halls. Monday morning came and teachers were floored. They were shocked and in aww with all the love the kids showed. Smiles filled rooms and the students were proud they could keep their hearts a secret.”
