Education & Training

Rose Rossana serves as the Scholarship Chair of West Virginia Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and has served on the Board of Managers since 2016. During her time with the Board of Managers, she served as President (2019-2025), 2nd Vice-President of Membership, Legislative Chair and Regional Director. She has attended the National PTA Legislative Conference in Washington, DC for 8 years and has been part of the College and Career Readiness Grant Team and the National PTA Grant Team. She has also worked with our State Department of Education by participating in the development of standardized testing standards in Math & Science, participated in judging the WV Teacher of the Year program, served on the WV DOE State Superintendent Education Advisory Team, and served on the Literacy Advisory Council for the State Superintendent.  She has spent her time in PTA focusing on increasing WV PTA’s reach to local PTAs through Family Engagement, increasing the value of PTA through strategic partnerships, and improving PTA processes with several strategic goals and initiatives including implementing the Givebacks platform.

She has been a member of PTA since 2009. For Johnson Elementary School, she served as Secretary, President, began the Anti-Bullying Committee and initiative, and chaired several other key committees. The most exciting PTA accomplishments during her time as local PTA President was being able to purchase new playground equipment for the school, advocating for a new school at the Harrison County School Board level that resulted in a new elementary school, and being awarded the School of Excellence from the National PTA in 2016.

She has been married to her husband for 30 years, has two sons, and resides in Bridgeport, WV. She has a BS in Industrial Engineering from WVU and is currently a Product Manager with TE Connectivity, a global industrial technology leader that designs and manufactures highly engineered connectors, sensors, and electronic components.
